The Guest Services Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Guest Services team responds to each person with biblical hospitality while ensuring that all ministry areas are properly staffed to ensure guest safety and security. This role directly reports the Director of Guest Services.

Under the direction of the Director of Volunteer Relations, the Volunteer Coordinator assists in building, developing, and/or maintaining an effective, Christ-centered, biblically-based volunteer ministry throughout KARM.  The Coordinator facilitates the work of the ministry in its endeavor to provide maximum service to KARM’s staff to ensure the optimal environment in which volunteer ministry can flourish to serve KARM’s guests, donors, and the volunteers themselves in accordance with KARM policies and procedures.

The Guest Services Team Member serves as a front-line ambassador of KARM’s mission, providing overwhelming biblical hospitality while ensuring a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for guests, volunteers, and staff. Applicants with mental health and crisis intervention experience are priority candidates. This role focuses primarily on Guest Services and Hospitality, including guest intake support, daily engagement, navigation of services, and maintaining a calm, respectful atmosphere for individuals experiencing homelessness. The position also supports facility safety and ensures policies, procedures, and standards are consistently followed.

The Case Manager at KARM works directly with guests facing challenges such as housing instability, unemployment, substance use recovery, trauma, and mental health barriers. Through ongoing assessment, goal-setting, and life planning, the Case Manager helps guests identify and overcome obstacles while connecting them with internal and community resources. Daily case load responsibilities include referral coordination, advocacy, documentation, and collaboration with staff, volunteers, healthcare providers, employers, and housing agencies.

The Case Manager also helps maintain a safe, Christ-centered environment that fosters accountability, dignity, and life transformation, while supporting volunteer engagement and guest mentoring within professional and ethical boundaries. This role requires compassion, consistency, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills, with a genuine commitment to walking alongside guests on their path toward long-term stability and growth.
