The Front Office Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for the Roane County United Way (RCUW), providing a welcoming and professional experience for guests, donors, and community partners. Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, this role manages incoming calls, greets and assists visitors, supports the creation of marketing materials and social media posts, manages in-kind donations, provides administrative support, and ensures an organized and efficient front office environment. The Front Office Coordinator also plays a key support role in the planning and execution of the Roane County United Way Fair, with hours increasing temporarily in May providing on-site support during the event.

The Skills-Based Volunteer Engagement Intern will work closely with the Manager of Advancement and Director of Community Investments to support recruiting, connecting, and placing skilled volunteers with local nonprofit agencies. The intern will research best practices in skilled volunteerism, develop tools and processes to build a sustainable volunteer pipeline, and support events and outreach efforts that connect professionals with nonprofits seeking to benefit from their expertise. Through this experience, the intern will gain hands-on knowledge of volunteer engagement strategies, nonprofit partnership development, and community impact. The Skilled Volunteer Engagement Intern will adhere to the mission, values, and philosophy of United Way of Greater Knoxville.

The Economic Mobility Intern will support the East Tennessee Collaborative (ETC) team in implementing grant-funded programming and coordinating activities associated with the conclusion of the current grant cycle. The intern will assist with planning and logistics for ETC’s capstone celebration, coordinate workshop presenters and materials, manage participant incentives, and support participant focus groups and other program evaluation activities. Through this experience, the intern will gain valuable exposure to nonprofit program operations, community partnerships, event coordination, and implementing and evaluating a regional economic mobility initiative.
