DRC Case Officer (Blount Co.)
Summary
Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Correctional work involving probation-style supervision and monitoring of non-violent felony offenders who have been released from incarceration and assigned to supervision through the Day Reporting Center or Evidence-Based Programming for alcohol and drug treatments.
• Provide direct supervision of assigned clients through home and office visits and establish needed supportive services.
• Communicate with local Recovery Courts, judges, District Attorneys, Public Defenders, and other judicial staff.
• Provide testimony in court, assist with electronic monitoring, collections of fees, and submitting monthly reports.
• Locate and establish professional relationships with local resource agencies.
• Maintain the documentation necessary to comply with ETHRA and Tennessee Department of Corrections (TDOC) program policies, procedures, and standards.
• Conduct assessments determining felony offenders’ needs for successful reintegration.

Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited university or college with Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social/Behavioral Sciences, or closely related field; or
- A minimum of 4 years working experience, including law enforcement experience.
- Considerable experience in criminal court proceedings and working with felony offenders;
- Ability to follow program procedures. Make appropriate and timely decisions;
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Valid TN driver license.
