Background:
Nourish Knoxville cultivates healthy communities by supporting relationships between local farmers, producers, and the public. This work includes the administration and support of nutrition incentive programs across East Tennessee, such as EBT/SNAP acceptance at farmers markets and farm-direct sites; Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) – a SNAP-matching program; and low-barrier nutrition incentive programs such as Nourish Kids and Nourish Moves to expand access to affordable, local produce. Nourish Knoxville also works across 36 counties to produce the East Tennessee Local Food Guide, an online and print directory connecting direct-to-consumer producers with buyers, developed in partnership with Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP).
Position Description:
The Regional Partnerships Coordinator leads Nourish Knoxville’s relationship-building and coordination efforts with farmers markets and farm-direct sites across East Tennessee to implement and strengthen SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB), and low-barrier nutrition incentive programs, supporting program integrity, data collection, and reporting while building capacity within the local food system.
Key responsibilities include onboarding new partner sites; providing training, technical assistance, and ongoing support; monitoring compliance with program and grant requirements; coordinating regional data collection; building and maintaining strong, year-round relationships with partners through ongoing communication and collaboration; and supporting federal government, state government, and foundation grant reporting across Nourish Knoxville’s nutrition incentive programs to ensure program integrity, accurate data collection, and meaningful reporting aligned with program goals.
As statewide SNAP incentive models expand, this position is expected to play a key coordination role for East Tennessee – collaborating with statewide administrators, supporting accurate data submission, and assisting with grant compliance and reporting for applicable federal, state, and other funder requirements.
In addition, the Regional Partnerships Coordinator collaborates with partner organizations to promote registrations in the East Tennessee Local Food Guide; supports promotion and distribution of the print guide; develops systems to gather partner metrics for grant reporting; assists with the social media and marketing efforts for regional partners; and works with Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP) to monitor and track online guide traffic and performance analytics.
This role reports to the CEO and works closely with the Programs Team and Markets Team.
Essential Functions:
• Serve as primary contact for regional nutrition incentives and Local Food Campaign
• Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing technical assistance for nutrition incentive sites
• Coordinate annual program planning and regular check-ins with partner sites
• Maintain documentation & monitor partner grant & program compliance
• Collect, organize, and analyze regional program data for reporting and evaluation
• Support submission of data and reports to statewide administrators and funders
• Assist with grant reporting and fulfillment of grant deliverables
• Communicate program updates, reminders, and resources to regional partners
• Conduct site visits to review processes, equipment use, and customer experience
• Represent Nourish Knoxville in statewide SNAP/GUSNIP meetings and working groups
• Identify opportunities for regional expansion of SNAP and nutrition incentive programs
• Lead Local Food Guide data collection, working with volunteers & partner agencies
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- High attention to detail and comfort with data tracking and spreadsheet use
- Ability to learn, apply, and maintain program compliance requirements
- Experience coordinating partnerships, networks, or multi-site programs
- Ability to travel regionally for site visits
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders (vendors, market managers, nonprofits, government agencies, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EBT/SNAP, nutrition incentives, or food access programs
- Experience with compliance monitoring and/or grant reporting
- Experience working in farmers markets, food systems, or public health
- Comfort with data collection, tracking, or basic analysis
- Experience in social media, outreach, and marketing campaigns
- Experience with self-led project management
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds
- Ability to travel regionally and conduct visits in outdoor market environments outside of standard business hours
- Ability to walk, stand, and navigate uneven terrain during site visits
